Our safeguarding adults course highlights individuals roles and responsibilities to protect an adult’s right to live in safety, free from abuse and neglect.
Some adults may need support and help to feel empowered to make decisions over how they wish to live there life. Steps will need to be taken by both individuals and organisations to take these appropriate measures to ensure individuals do not suffer from abuse. This may include taking proportional measures to ensure their basic human and civil rights are being met.
Whilst this is a difficult subject to address it is vital we look into important facts, figures, details and types of abuse that adults may suffer in order to discuss the appropriate actions we can take if it is suspected. In understanding basic safeguarding principles and legislations you will be better placed to adopt these skills into your role.
This safeguarding adults course will also discuss why some of the principle laws came into place, what is meant by the term “mental capacity” and how to fully support those who need help to reach decisions and give informed consent. In undertaking this safeguarding adult course you will be armed with information about both your responsibilities and boundaries.
Course consists of 5 modules with questions at the end of each module.
