ADHD is a condition that can affect both children and adults. It has a range of associated conditions or symptoms that can affect how an individual processes the world around them.
Typically, ADHD is classified into two main groups. Those who experience challenges around sustaining focus, memory retaining skills and organisation. These people primarily fall into the attention deficit part of the condition. Another group of people will experience more difficulties with being hyperactive, having trouble with impulse control and are typically referred to as being in the hyperactive group. Some people experience the full range of challenges and are often classified as “combined type.”
This condition is part of the neurodiversity spectrum of conditions, and as such the condition won’t be “cured” but the focus is on empowering the person to find way to live and manage their condition.
