Autism Awareness

Our Autism awareness course focuses primarily on children and young people with the condition. However, knowing more about the typical behaviours, and challenges those with autism face, would also benefit those working with adults with the condition.

Anyone working within care may come across individuals with autism spectrum disorders. (ASD) Autism, in short, is a lifelong condition that affects how a person communicates, and relates to others.

The autism awareness course will give you an overview of the condition, and how it affects a child's daily life. As the numbers of children being diagnosed with this condition increases, it is clearly important to have a greater understanding.

The course explores factors contributing towards autism, diagnosis, and practical inventions to help manage the condition. Finally, looking at simple adaptations you can make to improve day to day life.
