Problems are part of everyday life, each day we encounter many problems that we need to resolve.
Part of problem solving in a workplace involves recognising how a problem my occur, to help prevent it in the first place. Then you need to identify how the situation can be controlled, and then resolve the problem.
The three main areas problems occur are with people, tasks, and resources. Problems relating to human resources may involve personality clashes, dangerous or offensive behaviour, poor communication or even differences in opinions. The course covers the Equality Act of 2010 and how it applies to discrimination.
The problem solving in a workplace course will identify poor work systems and how to ensure time is spent productively. A range of solutions are usually available for problems including mediation, arbitration, compromise, and negotiation.
